We use high-resolution musculoskeletal and soft tissue ultrasound to assess sports injuries, long-term pain, and movement problems with clear, immediate findings. Your scan can focus on joints, tendons, ligaments, nerves, or superficial soft tissue concerns such as lumps and bumps. We carry out targeted hernia assessment when you need a closer look at a suspected weakness or bulge, which can be evaluated in conjunction with a general abdominal ultrasound if your symptoms are widespread.
For many people, this is a practical dynamic alternative to MRI because we can examine structures while they move. You get a more direct picture of what may be causing discomfort, weakness, or restricted mobility. Our musculoskeletal imaging is useful when pain keeps returning, an injury is slow to settle, or swelling does not make sense. During the appointment, we can study the affected area in real time, which helps when symptoms appear only with certain movements.
Soft tissue ultrasound can help check superficial lumps and bumps, giving you clearer information to discuss with your clinician if needed, or form part of a specialist and custom ultrasound referral. Hernia assessment is especially helpful when a strain, visible bulge, or dragging sensation is getting in the way of work, sport, or daily comfort. Musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound
Detailed ultrasound imaging of joints, tendons, ligaments, and soft tissues to investigate pain, injury, swelling, or restricted movement. Scans are region-specific and ideal for sports-related conditions and general MSK assessment.
Shoulder and upper arm scan
A detailed assessment of the major muscle groups, including the shoulder, biceps, triceps, and deltoid. We screen for muscle tears, haematomas (internal bruising), and soft-tissue masses. This scan is highly effective for identifying the extent of injury following trauma or sudden strain.
